Solar and photovoltaic energy: a forward-thinking choice
In a context where environmental sustainability is a top priority, we at MPI Magneti Permanenti Industriali made the decision to invest in photovoltaic energy over ten years ago, installing our first solar system on the roof of our first company warehouse.
According to the International Energy Agency, by 2025 solar photovoltaic will be the world’s leading source of electricity, surpassing even coal. This is a strong signal that renewables are no longer the future, they are the present. Investing in photovoltaic energy today is therefore a strategic decision.
In a world where environmental sustainability is a priority, we at MPI Magneti Permanenti Industriali took a forward-looking approach by investing in solar energy.
We did so more than a decade ago by installing a first solar system on the roof of our company warehouse.
Thanks to photovoltaic technology, we have been able to produce our own energy, reducing our dependence on non-renewable sources and cutting CO₂ emissions. A strategic move not only from an environmental standpoint, but also in terms of operational efficiency.
Calculating a company’s carbon footprint using methods such as the GHG protocol and ISO 14064, is a key step toward greater awareness.
The adoption of photovoltaic energy has thus become an integral part of our industrial vision, focused on sustainable innovation.
New photovoltaic panels, even better performance.
Technology keeps advancing, and with a unanimous vote by our board of directors, we decided to continue improving. Last year, we replaced the existing panels with next-generation photovoltaic models more powerful and efficient.
This decision has increased our clean energy production capacity, fully leveraging the potential of photovoltaic systems to support all of our business operations.
A new photovoltaic system for the future.
Our journey continues. On the new warehouse currently under construction, additional photovoltaic panels are being installed, with the goal of boosting renewable energy self-production and strengthening our energy independence.
This project reaffirms our commitment to a more responsible industrial production model, where photovoltaic energy is a key driver of sustainability.
